A Beluga Whale Far From Home

At the beginning of the month, a beluga whale was spotted in Washington’s Puget Sound. The closest known beluga pod is 1,500 miles away in Alaska’s Cook Inlet, making this an unusual spotting. It’s not known what threw this whale so far off track, but here’s what we do know.
